About AllWriters
"Writing is an act of isolation, but writers don't have to be isolated."
AllWriters’ Workplace and Workshop is the result of years of dreaming and planning. I've been a writer for most of my life, publishing for the first time at the age of 15, and I understand the need for community and a sense of belonging. As writers, we work on our own. We don't take coffee breaks and meet other writers in the employee lounge, sharing tales of wrong words and unruly characters. Just like anyone else, we need that sense of office camaraderie, and even more, we need to feel that there are others out there doing just what we are.
AllWriters' provides that community for writers. We give encouragement. We give education. And we give you great company.
AllWriters' Workplace & Workshop is located at 234 Brook Street, Unit 2, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. We have a faculty of great teachers, including myself. To be on the faculty of AllWriters’, you have to be currently publishing in your genre and actively writing. By publishing, I mean REAL publishing - no self-publishing, no obligatory publishing in the journals of writing associations. The majority of our faculty also has advanced degrees in creative writing. AllWriters' offers the best in both on-site and online writing classes and workshops, covering all abilities and genres of creative writing. The studio also provides coaching and editing services.
We have a Celebrity Saturday series, bringing in better-known, better-published authors to work with you for one day. We even provide lunch!
And our annual retreat is not to be missed. Four days of focusing on your own writing and hanging around writers from all over the world - but all belonging to the AllWriters' community. It's a long weekend of writing immersion, and you come out of it with a greater sense of purpose and determination.
If you are just beginning, someone who has always wanted to write, but has never quite made it down that path, start here. AllWriters’ offers a friendly and supportive environment for comfortable learning. You will receive constructive criticism, great encouragement, and a guiding hand the whole way, through creation, multiple drafts, marketing and publication.
If you are already an established writer, come join in the conversation and the community. When you’ve spent a hard morning putting together just the right words in just the right paragraph, there will be someone here who understands the sweat and the worry and the struggle. Join a workshop, share your stuff, and feel motivated to produce even more.
If you're a writer, of any ability or any genre, we're waiting for you. Welcome home.
