FRIDAY NIGHT FREE-FOR-ALL
If you’d like to see what AllWriters’ is all about, and if you’d like to hear some of the work flowing in our on-site and online classrooms, stop by a Free For All! At each Free For All, we will have three student readers, presenting poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction. AllWriters’ director Kathie Giorgio will also read, as well as a faculty member or a special guest.
Free For Alls take place at Café de Arts, 830 W. St. Paul Ave., in Waukesha. The full cafe menu is available, so come for dinner and meet our writers! No registration is necessary. This event is open to the public. Doors open at 6:00 and readings begin at 7:00.

AllWriters’ Workplace and Workshop Announces the Return of the Popular Friday Night Free For All and the Studio’s 18th Birthday!
On January 27th, our special birthday guest reader will be Michael Giorgio!
MICHAEL GIORGIO got his start in writing radio drama. He has had over a dozen audio scripts produced. His third novel, A Week Of Criminal Happiness, was released by Rogue Phoenix Press in June of 2020. His previous novels, Justice Comes Home and The Memory Swindlers, were released by Black Rose Writing in 2014 and 2016. An Active Member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Short Fiction Mystery Society, Michael has had both mystery and mainstream short stories published in magazines and anthologies. In addition to short stories and audio works, he has had both nonfiction and poetry published. He is an instructor at AllWriters' Workplace & Workshop. Three AllWriters' students will be reading as well, showcasing nonfiction, fiction and poetry, and as an example of AllWriters' students' publishing prowess. They are:
- Nonfiction: Dale Ann Morgan (String Too Short to Tie) will read from her memoir
- Poetry: Barbara Geiger, author of a chapbook of poetry about the Mississippi River
- Fiction: Mary Ann Noe, author of three novels
